While Joe has been dreading the leaf-raking/blowing time of year, he was looking forward to letting Evie jump into leaf piles for the first time.
She was hesitant at first - 'you want me to do what?' - but once Joe demonstrated for her, she was all about it.
I brought Riley out to let him watch and when I ran back in to get my camera, Joe immersed him in a pile. He got a HUGE kick out of it, slapping at the leaves and laughing.
He was completely entranced - we hated to have to take them inside for dinner. But alas, all good things must come to an end.
