A German Girl Among the Scandanavians

After our trip to Cincinnati, we realized how much we love Queen City brats, so we ordered some from the website and had them shipped in. Once they arrived, I brought home some corn and melon from the local fruit stand and decided to make a good German meal. Well, a Cincinnati meal at least. Minnesota is very Scandinavian, so getting good German food is difficult. They have all the Lutefisk and Lefse you can eat though!

Evie helped me peel the corn and carve up the muskmelon and watermelon.

We had given Evie brats before, and she never really liked them. But, man she loved the Queen City brats. I think she ate one and a half brats all by herself. She makes grandpa (pee-paw) so proud.
Then we gave her some corn on the cob. It took her a little while to figure out what to do with it, but once she did, she chowed down.
We finished with a little watermelon and surveyed the spoils of our German meal. She's a little chow hound that one. Next time, I'm giving her sauerkraut! - Joe

You guys are so good at getting Evie involved in the dinner making process. And it sounds like she has a good appetite.
