Having a week with two 2 year olds means that we had to have some activity so in between outings, we entertained the girls with backyard play including the water table. It was interesting to see what they did with it - Charis figured out how to make the pumps work while Evie scooped and poured the water onto the grass.

We ventured out one morning to the Wild Rumpus bookstore. They have a bunch of animals, both caged and free-range, so that was a sight to behold. As soon as Evie saw the chickens, she said, "bok, bok!". Charis read through some books with her folks, Evie pulled as many books off the shelves as she could and Riley tried to get his hands on something to mouth.
When we'd reached our time limit in the bookstore, we traveled around the corner to a toy store to browse. Well, the adults thought we were browsing. I suspect the girls had a different idea. ;) Charis enjoyed exploring a dollhouse and Evie searched out small items that she could hide away from our prying eyes. Still, it was cute to watch her walk hand in hand with her Daddy - even if there were a few time outs along the way.
